Finding 1920s Shingles
Q: I'm looking for roof shingles from about the 1920s in tin, copper, aluminum, etc. measuring about 18" x 18" with a T shape on them. They may be interlocking. Something close would be fine.
A: My search on the Internet yielded nothing. I contacted a company that specializes in "old fashioned" metal roofing and a man named David Robinson there recommended you try contacting a company called Renaissance Roofing, which specializes in salvaged material. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them on the Internet, either.
You should look for other companies offering salvaged building materials. Perhaps you could contact some sheet metal fabricators or manufacturers of decorative metal ceiling covers (such as stamped or embossed tin, copper and other metal ceiling tiles) for information or possibly to custom make what you need.

Good luck with your project!
